Agents see 65 of 34,411 x402 routes by default
Coinbase's x402 Bazaar lists 34,411 paid routes. The search its agent tools use by default returns only the routes Coinbase has curated: we found 65 of them on 14 hosts (0.19%). The other 34,346 are indexed and payable but do not appear unless the caller turns the filter off. Measured 2026-10-05.

Every listed seller has a page here with its routes, which of them still answer a valid 402, and the on-chain payers for its address: open https://bazaar.agentexchange.work/seller/<your-host> or search every listed route, curated or not. This index applies no curation filter. The same search is an MCP tool at /mcp and JSON at /search.json.

Counters are the catalogue's own. Dollars are calls times each route's listed Base USDC amount; routes with dynamic pricing can settle more than the listed amount, so read the column as a floor for those hosts.
What it looks like from one uncurated seller
Our own store (store.agentexchange.work) has 312 routes. 312 pass Coinbase's validator. 53 are in the index. 6 appear in the open search for their own name, because a route that was called once and then not again for 30 days is dropped from results. 4 of those rank first for their own name, and first place brought 9, 7, 1, 3 calls in 30 days. None is curated.
What curation asks for
Coinbase's documentation lists live mainnet payments, 99 percent availability over 30 days, a passing health probe, a complete input schema with a description that says when to use the route, and a passing validation. It also says curation is a Coinbase-managed partner process with no self-serve step, started by asking on the CDP Discord.
Method
- Listed: pagination.total of GET https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402/discovery/resources.
- Curated: GET https://api.cdp.coinbase.com/platform/v2/x402/discovery/search?query=<q>&curatedOnly=true&limit=20 for 54 broad queries, de-duplicated by resource URL; a lower bound (Coinbase states about 70 curated services).
- Default search: Coinbase staff, x402-foundation/x402 issue 3136: the Bazaar MCP search defaults to curatedOnly: true while the REST endpoint does not.
- Counters: l30DaysTotalCalls and l30DaysUniquePayers as the catalogue publishes them; not verified on chain.
- Dollars: calls in 30 days times the listed Base USDC amount of each resource; routes with dynamic pricing can settle more than the listed amount.
- One seller: all 312 routes of our own store: Coinbase's validator (POST /platform/v2/x402/validate), then the open search for each indexed route's own name.
